I found myself 6 hours away from home; over in the Harbour Grace/Carbonear area.

Having only sped past these places on my previous trip, I woke up early this morning so I could go for an exploratory drive.

The fact that the above Carbonear Cinema caught fire a couple of months later, and the fact that Harbour Grace has one of the few awesome stone structures in this province; made it worthwhile to get out of bed.

(The above stone structure is the courthouse; continuously in use (as a courthouse) since the 1830s.)

The reason I'm creating a post for this excursion is because I visited Newfoundland lighthouse #56 while over here.

This one isn't on any of the lighthouse sites, so I only knew about it after seeing it on a motorcycle touring forum.

Count it! She's some majestic b'y.
